I am currently watching an outrageous but very well thought out series on aliens and their involvement in the history of the earth, called "Ancient Aliens". There are 2 seasons and 15 episodes total. Sometimes they make outrageous accusations and claims without support but other times they find some very interesting connections and explanations. Anyway, one woman ( I forget her name and what she did. She was possibly an astrophysicist.) had the following to say and I liked it:

"Each step that we take makes us a little bit less special. We used to think that we were the center of the universe as humans and then we realized, 'Oh alright, well that's not true. But, we're the center of the galaxy? Well, alright, so we're like 2/3rds of the way out on a spiral arm. Well, at least our sun, you know with this... No, the sun is actually in the middle and the earth goes around it so earth isn't even the center of that system.' [Astrophysics is] a very humbling science."
